Since 1985 the staff at Professional Rescue Outfitters has been committed to providing the highest quality training available to it’s clients. P.R.O offers a wide variety of standardized and custom courses ranging from 4 hour seminars to seven week certification programs.

Over the years P.R.O. has provided ongoing educational opportunities to personnel from U.S. and foreign industry, law enforcement, fire service, search & rescue, and military agencies

Swiftwater / Flood Rescue

With flooding being the number one weather related killer, the Swiftwater / Flood Rescue programs offered by P.R.O. provide agencies a measure of security and increased personnel safety. The Swiftwater Rescue Technician program is available in a standard form, or in a NFPA 1670 compliant format. In addition, P.R.O. offers courses in Flood Incident Management, Rescue Boat Handling, White water Boat Operations, and Helicopter Aquatic Rescue techniques.

Trench and Excavation Collapse Rescue

In 1986 Texas led the nation in the number of industrial fatalities due to trench collapse. The
staff at P.R.O. helped develop a regional training program that provided their students with a solid working knowledge of trench design, safety systems, rescue and recovery operations, and incident management. Since that time the Trench Rescue programs have continued to evolve, and are offered in a 4 hr. awareness, 16 hr Basic and 24 hr Advanced delivery.

Helicopter Rescue

The instructional staff at P.R.O has  provided Helicopter Rescue training to a variety of clients ranging from the petroleum industry, to law enforcement, EMS, Fire Rescue and Military units. As the rescue training contractor for Bell Helicopter Textron, P.R.O. designed a seven week Helicopter Rescue Medic course for the Royal Saudi Air Force.  Additionally courseware was developed for the Texas Task Force 1 Helicopter SAR program,  the State of California OES, North Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team, and the South Carolina HART program. 

Our instructors are active members of helicopter SAR programs, with experience on a variety of Bell, Eurocopter, and Sikorsky aircraft.  Other aviation courses offered include Helicopter  Rescue Crewman, Helicopter Hoist Operator, Helicopter Rescue Swimmer, Aircrew Survival, and Aircraft Emergency Egress training.

Tactical / Counter Terrorism

P.R.O. offers a broad selection of Tactical Law Enforcement training, including Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Tactical Rappelling, Rappel Master, Explosives & IED’s awareness, Emergency Response to Terrorist Incidents, and Tactical EMS programs. The Tactical Instructors are all experienced operators, and can provide the client with a tailored course of education based on their situational requirements.
